A Short Cut in Honduras
The day started off quite nicely with nice weather, beautiful scenery and
great roads.
Soon however the pavement turned into bare rock
The scenery was still nice though even if did start to drizzle a bit and
I was having a great time riding on the hard packed roads.
Then the hard pack turned into very slick mud. I though for sure I was gonna
dump the bike but I somehow managed to keep it upright. Fortunately the mud
lasted for less then a mile but it was a very nerve wracking mile.
Then the road turned back to pavement. Hooray
But only for a little while and it was once again hard packed dirt
The scenery was still great however
An then we got some wet pavement and fog so thick you couldn't see more then
15'.
When the fog cleared all was right with the world. While I had a blast rocketing
down the hard packed roads Todd was hating life and we averaged less then
30 mph for the day.
White birds and dry asphalt at speed.
