that could quite possibly turn into a global adventure. We are leaving our options opened ;-)

Where ---> See "What"

Why ---> The simple answer is "because we can".

However, nothing is simple. I'll speak for myself and say that I am a curious person. I am interested in other cultures and their histories. Oh yeah, you can _read_ about it (and probably get alot more detail) but, I have an opportunity to experience the Americas in a way that most people never can or will. I'm taking it.

How ---> For me, riding a 1992 Kawasaki KLR650

With travel come concerns for security so, I will be reserved on some of the specifics as specifics have gotten some fellow travelers into some unwanted trouble before. Glenn Hegsted(?) travelled the path we travel and documented everything daily on his "Striking Viking" website leading to his unexpected kidnapping by the Columbian FARC . He was released five weeks after his ordeal and continued on his journey (applause), but it just goes to show even some of the more seedy elements of our world are watching and listening.

With that in mind I will stick to the basics and tell you all you really need to know. We are travelling from the outer Washington, DC area into Mexico, Central America and to the southernmost tip of Argentina, Ushuaia. You can check back here to view our progress on the map, but keep in mind it will be delayed.
